Bis (t-butylperoxy isopropyl) Benzene [BIPB]
Properties:
1) BIPB is insoluble in water, partly dissolves in alcohol, ether, benzene, carbon,
tetrachloride and other organic solvents
2) The active oxygen content is 9.45%
3) The decomposing temperature and half-life period: 1min (182oC);
10hrs (18 - 120oC)
Applications:
BIPB may serve as a cross-linking agent in plastics, a vulcanizing agent in rubber,
such as polyethylene, EPDM, EVA, silicone rubber, butyl-acrylonilrile rubber.
As the same crosslinking result, the amount of BIPB is DCP's 2/3. The melting point
and decomposing temperature are high, so the processing temperature could be
higher. It has the advantage of its low odor in processing and finished products.
Package and storage:
Packed in carton box, net weight is 20kg per box. Inside packed in PE bag, each bag
is 5kg
BIPB should be stored below 45oC to ensure the safety and its quality.
Avoid direct sunlight and violent shakes while transportation. Away form fire and
heat. Do not store or ship with strong acids or reductive agents
